Once a month, a PubhD is organized in Bordeaux. The concept? PhD students from any subject area explain their work to an audience in a pub. The mission? Speakers have a paperboard and 10 minutes max. to present their studies at a "pub level" - the idea being that the audience does not have to be from academics to understand the talks. The reward?
